Speedometer Digital Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 July 2026

Speedometer Digital is a GPS speedometer and trip tracker developed by Charnpreet Singh. Your privacy is built into the app: the app does not create an account, display advertising, use analytics, or send your trip information to the developer or to third parties.

Data the app uses

Speedometer Digital requests access to your device’s location while you use the app. Location is required to calculate and display:

When you choose to record a trip, its route and summary are stored locally on your device. App preferences, such as measurement units and appearance, are also stored locally.

Data collection and sharing

The developer does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your location, trip history, device identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, or personal information.

The app does not include advertising, analytics, social-network, or third-party tracking SDKs. Apple Maps content is provided by Apple’s system MapKit framework and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Your choices and controls

Location access is optional, but live speed, map, and trip features cannot work without it. You can change the app’s location permission at any time in:

Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Speedometer Digital

You can delete individual saved trips inside the app. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored trips and preferences from the device, subject to the device’s normal backup and restore behaviour.

Children’s privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s features or privacy practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an update is published.
